Secure Password Management On The Go!
Hello again!
In the last six month I was totally occupied programming my program assignment for the Sun Certified Java Developer (SCJD) exam. Therefore I couldn't work on KeePassMobile and that is why you haven't heard anything from me in the last time. Now, that I have finished the project and send it to Oracle (still waiting for the results:) I want to bring KeePassMobile one step further: KeePassMobile V1.0!
This is, what I want to achieve for KeePassMobile V1.0:
Until now, there has only be one KeePassMobile package for all java mobiles. Unfortunatelly, KeePassMobile does not run well on old/low-end java mobiles because it is very resource hungry. Therefore I have created a special package called KeePassMobile LIGHT that addresses this problem.
I created a new translations page where you can see which translations are available for KeePassMobile and how old the translations are. The older the translation is, the less words of the current KeePassMobile release are translated for this langugage. So you can see that some translations need a refresh.
Just a small note: KeePassMobile V0.9 is now available on GetJar. Here is the direct link to KeePassMobile. 500 Downloads in just 10 days is not that bad! You are welcome to vote or write a review.
OK, I must admit, it took far too long time, but finally it's here: KeePassMobile V0.9! It has a bunch of long awaited features in it. But have a look on the release notes for yourself...
Today, I enabled Flattr on the KeePassMobile website. So what's Flattr? Well, it's a social micropayment system you can use to donate money, but you can only receive as long as you also give. I like this idea! The guys behind Flattr explain best the purpose of this new social micropayment system:
Here is the second BETA release of the upcoming KeePassMobile V0.9. This release should be quite stable by now. Anyhow, always keep a backup of your password database elsewhere.
In the past, I always asked volunteer testers to participate in a closed beta test of the upcoming KeePassMobile release. I want to change this for version V0.9. This is the first time a public beta release will be available for everybody, who wants to test the new features. So you can choose: if you want to have the stable and proven version of KeePassMobile, stick to V0.8.1. But if you want to test the latest improvements and cutting edge features then give V0.9-beta1 a try.
Probably you know this already: KeePassMobile is developed by me in my rare free time and is free and open source. There is a donation page on this website, that states:
I have been very busy at the beginning of the year. That is, why the KeePassMobile development stuck the last three months, sorry. I changed my job and work for Canoo now. Canoo has a very good reputation in the Java community and I am proud that they chose me. There are so many new things to learn for me.
